When I was two years old, I had strep, pneumonia, pneumococcal, and blood meningitis. I was hospitalized and released from the hospital after 54 days. We went through extensive appointments for neurologist, audiologist, endocrinologist. a ton of physical therapy occupational therapy to make sure that I was back at 100%. This included so many different appointments to the doctors because of the stroke that I had at a very young age.

When I was released from the hospital, the doctors did a hearing test which came back that I failed. Then partnered with a audiologist and an ENT doctor because when I was in the hospital, I wasn’t able to eat on your own either because they had a tube down from my nose into my stomach to feed me because of the stroke.

Doctors told my parents that I wouldn’t make it through this sickness and for my parents to plan my funeral, but God had other plans. When I made it through the night, the doctor told my parents that although I made it through the night, l would be paralyzed because of how much oxygen my brain did not get during the time I was going through with the stroke.
